Biography

For several years Roberto Menaḅ has been holding concerts at clubs, cultural associations and festivals, both as a soloist and in ensembles, proving to be a careful interpreter of various aspects of folk music, with particular attention to original blues and the different techniques of acoustic guitar.

He's a contributor for various music magazines, such as "Jazz It", "Il Blues" "Late for the sky", "Folk bulletin", and holding guitar courses and workshops and has published the book "John Fahey" edited by Lapis Lapsus editions

He cut "A Bordo del Conte Biancamano", a record of acoustic guitar,  "Laughing the Blues", a personal view of the myths of archaic blues and the new release "Il Profumo Del Vinile" a collection of original solo guitar and traditional country blues all three met with the favour of the critics.

With double bass player Roberto Bartoli, he has  prepared "Memorie", a performance about Italian folk music; he also composed the music for the collection of short-stories "C'erano allora", written by Daria Alberici and inspired by Van Gogh's painting . With actor Francesco Lanza he has also prepared "On The River", five original tales soaked in the Mississippi River
