Acoustic Roots Music

The concert "Acoustic Roots Music" is a 'journey' through the different styles of acoustic blues, including folk and pieces for solo guitar, together with compositions of his own, with a personal and original touch.

The performance pivots on the guitar interpretation, supported by a powerful and intense phrasing exploring the different techniques of acoustic guitar: finger-picking, bottleneck and open-tuning.

To meet the interest shown by music lovers wishing to widen their knowledge of the guitar techniques used, workshops and classes can be organized according to the different needs.

Memorie

The music performance "Memorie" is a 'journey' through the Italian folk song of our century: from the First-World-War songs to Giovanna Daffini's, from the partisan songs to the political song of the '60s. Special stress has been laid on research aiming to study not so much regional pieces as songs which, while being born at a precise historical moment, have become "collective memory".

While respecting the melody, the concert results in a very original performance, both for the unusual ensemble - acoustic guitar and double bass - and for the particular arrangements where different music influences meet, from jazz to blues and other folk traditions.

C'erano allora
Who was living in Provence when Van Goh decided, in the summer of 1890, to commit suicide? And who was living in the north of France and what where they doing? What happened at Saint Remy in that magical night, full of light and wind curls?
On Van Gogh's pictures were imagined the stories and the characters; all the stories converge on the painter's death, to which the characters are powerless witnesses. On the same pictures was composed the music which pleasantly accompanies the stories; on other pictures was created the music that perfectly matches the moods and feelings inspired by the sight of the painting itself.

During "C'erano allora" texts are read and accompanied by music, and instrumental pieces performed.
